The University of Florida track and field program officially has a combined 18 men's and women's NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-12) entrants, which is the third-highest total for 2016.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida track and field program officially has a combined 18 men's and women's NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-12) entrants, which is the third-highest total for 2016.

On the men's side, the No. 4 Gators boast eight entries, including the nation's top-ranked 4x400-meter relay team, fresh off a runaway victory at the SEC Indoor Championships.

Senior Arman Hall, the relay's anchor, is Florida's only male dual entrant. The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native will run the 200 and 400 meters for the Gators, ranking fourth and sixth, respectively, among Division I runners this season.

Junior middle distance runner Andres Arroyo, who broke Mark Everett's 26-year-old school record in the 800 meters with a runner-up finish at the conference meet, is the highest-ranked individual for the Gators. Arroyo checks in at No. 3 on the 800 meters national descending order list.

For the women, Florida's 10 entries are tied for the third-most in the field.

Senior Shayla Sanders is the lone national leader for the No. 2 Gators, but senior Kyra Jefferson ranks in the top four in both the 200 (No. 2) and 400 meters (No. 4).

In the field, UF's women boast two of the nation's top three triple jumpers, Darrielle McQueen and Yanis David, who rank second and third, respectively, in Division I this season. McQueen, like Jefferson, is a dual entrant, as she will also compete in the long jump.
