Texas vs. Florida Poll: Which Is The Better Southern Track State?

This past weekend, Texas and Florida each hosted one of its state's biggest meets of the outdoor track season. Austin, Texas, had the Texas Relays come to town while Gainesville, FL, showcased the Pepsi Florida Relays. Both meets produced some of the fastest times in the country. The biggest races and events from each meet are highlighted below:

In total, there were 4,534 elite performances between the two meets this past weekend, and our numbers don't lie.  

Please also keep in mind this is only looking at two states that had two of the biggest high school meets/performances of the weekend. We know states such as Virgina and others farther north will be represented well in the rankings as we get further into the outdoor track season. We also can't forget about our friends in California and the West Coast who are doing big things as well.
