Below is a summary of the top performances at the Jimmy Carnes Indoor Track and Field Meet. I have identified the top high school high school performances as well as those athletes who met the NIKE Indoor National High School Championship qualifying standards(NIN). NIN will take place in Boston, MA, March 13-15, 2009 at the Reggie Lewis Center. More info can be found here.
The meet was also attendend by several masters competitors. These athletes are eligible to compete in the USATF Masters Indoor Track and Field Meet March 20-22 at the Wayne K. Curry Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland.
Lastly, the top performances in our College/Open division are identified.
This year's meet featured over 1,300 entrants and over 1,000 ticketed spectators.
The Gainesville Sports Commission looks forward to hosting the event again next year.
