Top Mid-Distance Recruit Caitlin Collier Signs With Stanford

Caitlin Collier is the top mid-distance recruit in the class of 2018, No. 1 on our MileSplit big board of recruits and a recent addition to Stanford University.

The Cardinal received the addition of Collier on Wednesday, on the first day of the National Letter of Intent early signing period. Collier inked her signature among friends, family, and students in a gymnasium at Jacksonville Bolles School, where she's a senior.

Collier arguably has the most accomplished resume on paper than any other class of 2018 recruit. She's a recent bronze medalist in the 800m at the Pan-American Junior Games in Peru and owns a PB of 2:03.32 from the Festival of Miles at the distance.

Collier, though, also extends out to the 1600m, where she's run a PB of 4:50.48 and the full mile, where she's gone 4:46.63. In the 3200m, Collier has PB'ed a time of 10:30.39 and even has versatility in cross country, where she's bested a time of 17:41.80 from 2015 in the 5K. She's also split 56.15 seconds in the 400m.
