Track season is in full swing in the state of Florida as records are falling, rivalries are being renewed, and all-stars are dominating. Which female athlete had the best performance in week one? You vote. You decide.

Chanel Dawson- the senior from Miami Northwestern was the leader for the Lady Bulls on the field side as she recorded the best shot put throw of the weekend with a 47-5 feet at the Louie Bing Classic.

Jan'taijah Ford- Ford makes a return to this list as she continues to impress in the 400 as she raced to a 52.82 to take the win at the Louie Bing Classic. The junior from Northeast HS finished second in voting last week and is looking to win this week. 

Markalah Hart- the junior from Miami Northwestern found her groove as she took the top time in the 100 hurdles at the Louie Bing Classic. Hart dropped a 14.49 as she led the Lady Bulls in the hurdles. 

Rayniah Jones- the junior from Miami Southridge raced to a sub 43 second 300 hurdle finish as she took the win in a loaded field at the Louie Bing Classic. Jones' 42.78 is the fastest time recorded this year in the event.

Valerie Lastra- The teammate of Malik, Lastra was the first girl to break 5 mins this season as she recorded a 4:58.52 at the Louie Bing Classic on her way to winning the 1600. 

Jinah-Mickens Malik- the freshman from Mater Academy Charter picked up where she left off from last year, as she won the 800 meter at the Louie Bing Classic. Malik ran 2:14.22 and took the fastest time of the week in the half-mile. 

Dascha Robinson- another Lady Bull makes the list as Robinson dominate in the triple jump this weekend at the Louie Bing Classic. Robinson jumped 39-8 feet in her way to bringing home the win. 

Elizabeth Sculles- the junior from Palmetto Ridge HS took the win in the discus at her home meet, the Bear Track Invitational. Her throw of 136-5 feet was good enough to take the best throw in the discus of the weekend.

Jordyn Showers- the sophomore from Calvary Christian HS took home the longest long jump mark of the weekend with a 19-4.25 feet. Showers dominated the long jump at her home meet, The Calvary Christian Warrior Invitational. 

Zatoria Thompson- the sophomore from St Thomas Aquinas had a day at Louie Bing Classic as she took the 100 meter dash in the time of 11.90. She also dominated in the high jump with that top state performance of 5-8. 

Ana Wallace- the senior from Chiles HS picked up the fastest 3200 time in FL as she opened up her season dipping under the 11 minute mark as she recorded a 10:56.01 at her home track during the Chiles Relays. The FL Gatorade Runner of the Year was nudged by the GA Gatorade Runner of the Year, Elizabeth Funderburke, as both ladies went sub 11. 

Briana Williams- the sophomore from Northeast HS edged out fellow speedster Thompson in the 200, where she went 23.77 and took the top time in FL for the week.
