Throughout the 2018 season, we watched Yared break numerous meet and course records, having her best cross country season yet, as a junior!

Along with a fantastic running resume, Yared is a stellar student. According to the Gatorade Florida Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year press release, Yared participates in service-mission trips to Ethiopia and volunteers locally for the Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian athletes as well as maintaining a superb 4.85 GPA in the classroom.

Yared joins many fantastic high school athletes that have gone off to do amazing things at the collegiate athletic level since their award.
