With last season's top four graduated, the door has been opened for the individual state title. Like the 3A and 4A girls, 4A boys will see a lot of new faces this season. We also will see a some new transfers to key teams.

Jake Turner, Jahari White, and Rheinhardt Harrison are among three top athletes that have moved up to 4A this season and will mix it up after their strong track seasons this year.

Aidan Breslin has made the move over to Fort Lauderdale high from St. Thomas Aquinas and will train with Michael Fiore to lead their team this season.

Oviedo has also picked up Hayden Goodsell and strengthened their top five with the the Galloway brothers and Samuel Austin, while Steinbrenner has added Ethan Bhatt to their pack.

With transfers, new teams to the classification, and no clear dominant leader out front, 4A is going to be the class that will keep you on your toes. You have several strong teams like Sarasota, Oviedo, Steinbrenner, Windermere, Nease, Newsome, Plant, and Bartram Trail that are looking to break out onto the scene, but they also have all lost key pieces from last season. It will be interesting to see how these teams rebound after the summer and how they compete against one another.

Both the 4A individual and team title have many on the radar, but over the next few months we will get the opportunity to see who is up for battle this season.

In the 2019 cross country season we will see the rankings change and shift across all classifications -- anything can happen. There are only a few more days till the 2019 cross country season starts, it's go time.
