UCF Adds Danielle Bess, Kiah Williams to All-Star Lineup

The University of Central Florida will add another two south Florida standouts to their 2020 roster.

2A 400m state champion and 2A 400m state medalist, Danielle Bess and Kiah Williams, will become Knights following graduation in spring of 2020.

Bess, a standout for American Heritage over the past few years, won the 2A 400m state title back in 2017 as just a sophomore in a time of 55.38. She came back in 2018 and finished third in the event and battled an injury last season, but is expected to come back stronger than ever this 2020 outdoor season.

Williams, a leader on the state title winning Hallandale team, has finished fourth in the 400m at the state finals in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. She holds a PR of 54.61 for the 400m and will be one of the top athletes in the 2A classification heading into the outdoor pre-season.

Bess and Williams join state champion, Valerie Lastra, for UCF's early commitment roster. So far, these three are excellent south Florida pickups for the Knights as they look to build a winning program over the next few seasons.
