Florida's Top Pole Vaulter Laine Roberts Picks Vanderbilt

Bolles senior, Laine Roberts, recently signed to continue her pole vault career for Vanderbilt University.

Roberts will enter this outdoor track and field season as the top returning vaulter in the state with her strong PR of 3.93m.

After picking up pole vault nearly five years ago, the future Commodore is a two-time, aiming for three-time, 2A state champion in the event.

Out of the 15 competitions that Roberts competed in last track season, she won all but two. Her consistency in the event and continued improvement progression is one of a kind in the state.

She will join Vanderbilt's strong pack of vaulters with likes of Ohio pole vault champion, Kristen Denk, Washinton vault champ, Caleigh Lofstead, and Alabama vault champ, Margaret Ollinger.

Roberts is looking to improve past her 3.93m PR, gain another state title, and make moves on the national scene this 2020 outdoor season before heading off to dominate with the Vanderbilt vaulting squad.
