Chiles Standout Caitlin Wilkey Chooses Hometown FSU


Chiles standout, Caitlin Wilkey, announced her commitment to Florida State University on Monday. She took to Instagram to announce the news. 


Wilkey, a multi-time individual state medalist in both cross country and track, is one of Florida's top recruits for the season. 

After running a new cross country PR of 17:45 to finish third a the 4A Cross Country State Championship on the Apalachee Regional Park, it's no secret that FSU is a perfect fit for this Tallahassee native. 

The Noles have had a fantastic season this year as Florida's top in-state squad. Under the coaching of Kelly Phillips the FSU ladies ended the year with their highest national ranking since 2014 and won the NCAA South Regional back-to-back in a dominating fashion on their home course. 

With her PR's of 2:14 in the 800m, 4:59 in the 1600m, 11:23 in the 3200m, and 17:45 ARP 5000m the sky is the limit for Wilkey as she join's Coach Phillips' group of hard working Seminoles.
