Multi-talented Windermere HS athlete, Amaya Ugarte, will continue her academic and athletic careers at Ohio State University following graduation in 2020.
Ugarte, won the 4A triple jump state title this past season with a PR of 11.86m. The Windermere senior isn't just a one event athlete. In addition to her state title she brought home a sixth place medal in the long jump, fourth place in the high jump, and an eighth place in the 300m hurdles.
Ugarte will return this 2020 season and enters as one of the state's top five triple jumpers, top ten 300m hurdlers, and top eight long jumpers, as she hunts down more state titles for her high school resume.
The future Buckeye holds PRs of 14.96 in the 100m hurdles, 42.97 in the 300m hurdles, 1.65m in high jump, 5.69m in long jump, and a 11.86m performance in the triple jump.
