Ashley Klingenberg and Emma Solis committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the University of Florida, adding to the Gator's stacked local recruiting team.
As multi-time state medalist for Lake Brantely, Klingenberg, has had a strong cross country season, placing 10th overall at the FHSAA 4A Cross Country state finals with a time of 18:22.
Fellow 4A athlete and future teammate from Newsome, Solis led the way for the Wolves to win the overall team cross country title with her eighth place PR of 18:19.
The Gators have been doing major recruiting locally this year, especially on the Florida girls side. So far they have picked up 3200m state record holder, Parker Valby and state medalists, Jordan Shapiro and Rylee Pustilnik.
Klingenberg and Solis will join a group of tough Floridians following graduation in 2020.
