Pine Crest senior Tsion Yared announced her commitment on Thursday to further her academic and athletic careers at Princeton following graduation in 2020. She took to Instagram to announce the news.
Yared has consistently been one of Florida's top athletes for the past seven years and hold PR's of 4:52 in the 1600m, 2:10 in the 800m, 10:24 in the 3200m, and 17:35 for the cross country 5k.
Since 2012, we have watched Yared dominate the FLYRA middle school racing scene and then grow to be one of Pine Crest's key athletes as just a young middle schooler.
Princeton gains one of the top Florida distance recruits of 2020 and Yared will find familiarity in the Ivy League with her Pine Crest teammates, Emily Faulhaber and Amanda Schwartz, at Brown and Cornell next year as well.
