Robinson senior Ethan Geiger made a big statement this weekend with his 9:06 3200m win at the Steinbrenner Invitational.
Florida has not seen a sub 9:10 in the event this early in the season ever. The closest we have seen to a performance like this one in the past decade was Trevor Foley's 9:12 at the 2018 Wharton Invitational back in 2018.
Geiger is going after the sub-9 minute mark, and going after it early. In his 2020 season he has already proven to be one of Florida's fastest all-time 3200m athletes coming in at No. 29 all-time and No.11 in the past decade and it's only February.
The future Gator's senior season has brought many cross country accomplishments, a Gatorade Player of the Year award and now a leading performance across the state and the nation by nearly 10 seconds.
