The two top West Catholic stars took the slow road (driving) to Florida, but it made little difference to their competition. Nicole Leach ran to win the 400 Hurdles, taking the trials in 1:01.69, and the finals in 59.37. Plymouth Whitmarsh junior Chanel Williams took 2nd in 1:01.27. Leach teammate LaTavia Thomas, a sophomore, took the 800 in 2:10.37. Senior Kimberly Morris of Plymouth White Marsh delivered the other PA win, taking the Triple Jump with a leap of 36-09.50.
