FHSAA Board of Directors meeting will be streamed via FHSAA's Youtube channel
The FHSAA Board of Directors will reconvene on Thursday at 5 p.m. for the second time in four days to discuss the return of fall sports.
On Monday, the five hour meeting resulted in more questions than answers, with the board ultimately voting to continue with it's July 27th fall sport start date.

Following the meeting counties all over the state began to postpone the start of fall sports. Orange, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Columbia, Escambia, Hillsborough, Leon all postponed their start date until later in August with Broward, Flagler, and Polk among the few to state that practices won't start until further notice.
Some private schools have completely axed fall sports from competition and practice this fall season, and Miami-Dade county is entertaining the idea of breaking away from the FHSAA and starting it's own conference.
Where does this leave cross country in Florida? The same place it was on Monday -- in coronavirus purgatory.
The reality of the situation is there has been no clear decision on fall sports as a whole in the state of Florida. Until there is a final decision on safety protocols for all sports, that leaves cross country coaches and meet directors up to their own devices to come up with their own protocols that follow their county rules.
No decisions have been made on a sport by sport basis from the FHSAA when it comes to competition protocol, practice protocol, travel protocol, or the state series.
