On Monday, the Florida High School Athletic Association released new district and region classifications for all member schools for the 2020 state series.
According to the FHSAA, the advancement procedures will be as follows: the first three teams and the top four individuals who are not members of an advancing team will continue onto the regional meet. The top four placing teams and top four placing individuals who are not members of an advancing team will then advance to the state meet.
With 44 days till the Florida High School Cross Country State Meet, the location is still set to Apalachee Regional Park.
Apalachee Regional Park and Visit Tallahassee will host it's premier regular season event, the FSU Pre-State Invitational, this weekend requiring COVID-19 testing and no spectators. These protocols are, at this time, only required for FSU Pre-State Invitational and have no bearing on the FHSAA Cross Country State Meet.
