Timber Creek senior Ethan Exilhomme made quite an impression on the crowd with the show that he put on at Showalter Field in Winter Park for the FHSAA 4A District 4.
The Northeastern University commit, who originally begin his high school track career at Tewksbury Memorial in Massachusetts, won four races on the day in dominant fashion. He led off with the nation's third-fastest wind-legal (+1.6) time of the year for the 110-meter hurdles with a 13.97 clocking that was perfection from start to finish.
Only two athletes ranked ahead of him nationally are Florida's own in 3A hurdlers Jerry Philippe of Dillard and Leonard Mustari of Dunbar. Since Exilhomme runs for a 4A school in Timber Creek, his path to a state title is much easier as the current top seed and favorite in that classification.
Immediately after the 110-meter hurdles, Exilhomme was back on the track to race again within 15 minutes for the boys 100-meter dash. He roared down the straightaway to another lifetime best clocking and also wind-legal (+0.6) at 10.69. His previous best was 10.73 from the Metro East Championships back on March 12th.
In between his 100 meter victory and getting ready to run anchor leg of the 4x100 meter relay following just two sections of 1600 meter races and one heat of a girls 4x400 meter relay for victory, Exilhomme found time to hop on his smartphone and do a quote retweet of our tweet on his US #3 110 meter hurdles race replay.
He might have gone faster on his 100-meter anchor than his open 100 in chasing down Wekiva's last leg for a 42.82 victory by his squad.
Lastly, Exilhomme's fourth and final act was the 200-meter dash as he notched another ten points to catapult the Timber Creek boys to the 4A District 4 team title by running a new personal best time and wind-legal (+0.9) performance of 21.89.
Exilhomme had arguably one of the best meets by any athlete from Florida during week 1 of the district meets.
