Caden Montini (Oak Hall) - Boys 2Mile
There was more than just one Montini celebrating a state title victory two weekends ago as Austin's younger brother Caden Montini had a perfectly executed kick to grab the 1A boys 3200 title at the very end with a 9:39 PR performance. With his old brother graduating and Caden about to become a rising junior this summer, it will be his opportunity to keep that momentum going and possibly keep the 1A state cross country title in the Montini household for the 2021 season.
Another opportunity for Montini to better that sub 9:40 state meet effort will come on Friday night at Golden South Series #2 as one of the faster seeds in a field that will run the full two miles distance instead of 3200.
