The Benjamin School boys won their program's first ever state track team title thanks to a strong start and showing in the field events tallying 44 of their 65 total points before the running events including two event champions in Micah Mays in the triple jump and Calvin Bowens in the discus.

Add in Micah Mays also later going sub 48 seconds to win the 400 meter dash state title as well as their 4x100 meter relay finishing as runner-up adding 8 points was enough to hold off a hard charging and another 1A Region 4 squad in Chaminade-Madonna, who on the opposite end of the spectrum scored 57 of their 63 total points in the running events.
