 3200 Meter Run

The standard of 9:40 remained the same this week, with seven boys going sub-9:40.  Mason Lablance of King led this week's sub-9:40 runners with a Fla. #6 9:27.64. It was a 10.25 second improvement for Lablance, whose previous PR was a 9:37.89 at the George Steinbrenner Invitational last year.

The only other sub-9:30 run for the week came from Senior Blake Young of Indian Rocks, who had the second best time of the week in his season opening 3200, of 9:29.54. Young has a PR of 9:21.91.

The state leader in the 3200 is Marcelo Mantecon of Belen, who leads the state with a 9:09.76.

Watch for the times to drop significantly across the state in the upcoming weeks, especially the last week of the month at the FSU Relays.  MileSplit FL will be livestreaming the event of the 28th and 29th.  Last year, the Invitational Boys 3200 saw 61 boys go sub-9:40, including 13 sub-9:10 and 4 sub-9:00.
