Joseph "Tiago" Socarras of Belen Jesuit is the MileSplit FL 2025 Florida Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year!

On June 5, at the Hoka Festival of Miles, Socarras ran a 4:04.31. That mile placed him at Florida #3 all-time in the Mile and No. 2 in the 1600m (c) 4:02.36. Last weekend, on June 8th, Socarras ran a 1:47.60 800m at the Brooks PR Invitational, the fastest 800m of any Florida boy in high school history.

Socarras started his senior year with a 3rd in the 3A FHSAA State Cross Country Finals in 15:33.30, helping his Belen Jesuit Team to their eighth straight team title.

Indoors at NIN he anchored the Miami Havana boys 4x1-Mile Relay to a national Championship in 17:06.50.

The following day won the Championship Boys' 1-Mile in 4:07.32.

Outdoors, in the regular FHSAA season, except for two regional races, he was undefeated in the 1600m and the 800m, defending his 3A 1600m title.
