The heart of Florida High School track and field was on display at the Florida Indoor High School Championships, with some of Florida's top boys and girls talent facing off and producing some of the best marks this season. While the racing was going on on the track, the boys' pole vault was electric. All eyes were on Jaxon Jerabek of IMG as he breezed through 5.00m, 5.20m, 5.35m, had one miss at 5.42, and then cleared the height, bettering his Florida all-time indoor mark and US No. 1 ranking of 5.41m. The 5.42 mark is not only a Florida all-time indoor mark, but a current US #9 all-time indoor mark.  The bar was set at 5.50m - 18.05, and Jerabek just missed in his three attempts. Jerabek's indoor mark also bettered the all-time Florida outdoor mark of 5.11m set in 2017 by Gregory Skage of Winter Park HS.
