Congratulations to IMG Academy junior Christopher Lawley for getting your votes for the Florida boys Performer of the Week for his current U.S. No. 1 400mH time of 53.27 at the Pirate Booty Invitational.  He received 54.44% of the vote.

Runner-up in the voting with 20.45% of the votes was senior Charles Loftin of the Providence School, who ran a 4;13.19 1600m at the 22nd Annual East Coast Classic.

POLL: Florida Girls Performer of the Week (Feb 23-28)

Here are the candidates for week three of the Florida outdoor season. 

Hayden Bearden IMG Academy, 2027: Won the 800 meters at the VTO/IMG Academy Open in 1:53.14, breaking his PR of 1:54.70 from the Sunshine Showcase in January. The time currently leads the state and makes him the top-ranked junior in Florida and nationally. His time currently ranks him fourth nationally.

Marcelo Mantecon (Belen Jesuit, 2027: Dominated the distance events at the Belen Home Meet 1, taking first in both the 3200 meters (9:06.51) and 1600 meters (4:06.86). His 1600 was a slight PR, improving on the 4:07.28 he set last April at the FHSAA 3A District 16 meet and is currently U.S. No. 1. His 3200m while off of his 8:49.99 PR is currently U.S. No. 2.1600m - 4:06.86 U.S. No. 1. Belen Home Meet 1.

Armando Cruz (Belen Jesuit, 2027): Had an incredible triple, setting three PR's at the Belen Home Meet 1. His 1:53.85 800m is FL No. 2 / U.S. No. 9, his 4:13.75 1600m is FL No. 3 / U.S. No. 6, and his 9:07.253200m is FL No. 2 / U.S. No. 3. 

Charlie Perkins (Niceville HS, 2027): Swept both throwing events at the 12th Annual Craig Speziale Memorial Track and Field Invitational, winning the discus with a throw of 184-11.29 and the shot put at 58-6.36. His shot put mark was a new PR, improving from 57-1.04 set in February at the 22nd Annual East Coast Classic. Both throws currently rank #1 in the state, and he sits atop the junior rankings.

Jaxon Jerabek (IMG Academy, 2026): Cleared 5.20m (17-0.72) to win the pole vault at the VTO/IMG Academy Open, putting up the top mark in Florida this season. It is also U.S. No. 2.
