Congratulations to Johnny Felix of G. Holmes Braddock HS,who received the most votes for the Florida Boys Performer of the Week. He won on the 800 meters in 1:53.06 at FHSAA 4A District 16.
Brady Pineo of Wesley Chapel HS was runner-up in the voting. Pineo posted a state-leading 20.92 in the 200 and ran 10.33 in the 100 to sweep both sprints at FHSAA 3A District 8. His 200 time tops the state rankings this season.

After another week of track & field action in Florida, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Florida boys performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:
Zamarii Sanders, Cardinal Newman HS (Florida): Won both sprints at FHSAA 2A Region 2, clocking 10.28 in the 100 meters and 21.07 in the 200 meters. Posted the fastest 100-meter time among this week's competitors statewide.
Kobe Johnson, Dunbar HS (Florida): Captured the 110-meter hurdles title at FHSAA 3A Region 3 in 13.62, the top time among Florida hurdlers competing this week.
Charlie Perkins, Niceville HS (Florida): Swept the throwing events at FHSAA 3A Region 1 with marks of 185-0.25 in the discus and 56-5.75 in the shot put. The top-ranked junior in Florida in both events, his discus throw led all competitors statewide this week.
Nathaniel Owens, Heritage HS - Palm Bay (Florida): Turned in a dominant jumping performance at FHSAA 4A Region 2, winning the long jump at 24-4.91 and the triple jump at 47-11.98. Also placed third in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.77.
