Florida Athletes to Watch at Inaugural Under Armour Nationals
The spotlight will be on several Florida standouts this weekend at the inaugural Under Armour Track & Field Nationals at IMG Academy. The meet, however, showcases many of Florida's top high school and middle school boys and girls athletes. Registration is closed, but meet information can be found here.
Friday highlights include Lee Peters in the girls' 100m and 200m championship races, Nia Armstrong in the hurdles, Danielle Graham and Atarah Robinson in the girls' mile, and a strong Florida boys' mile field led by Matthew Dodds.
Saturday's Florida athletes to watch include U.S. No. 1 pole vaulter Jaxon Jerabek, Florida No. 1 400m runner Kedric Wright Jr., a deep girls 800m field featuring Aurora Bertelsen Del Solar, Mackenzie Winning, and Danielle Graham, plus J'Nia Simpson in the shot put. Simpson enters with Florida all-time No. 1 status and a U.S. No. 6 ranking.
