Florida's youth track and field stars continued to shine during Monday's finals, highlighted by a national championship in the throws and a flurry of PR's across both track and field events. Here are the athletes who had Top 10 performances in Monday's finals.
The standout performance of the day belonged to Riley Damon (Indian River Elite Track Club). Competing in the 11-year-old Girls Discus, Damon captured the national title with a winning mark of 30.29m (99-04).
In the 14-year-old Boys Shot Put, Maurice Smith (Daytona Express) tossed a personal-best throw of 15.86m (52-00.50) to earn runner-up. His younger club teammate, Calvin Jones, also had a strong showing, placing 7th in the 8-and-under Boys Shot Put with a mark of 7.41m (24-03.75).
In the Pole Vault, unattached athlete Jacob Visser, out of Orlando, matched his personal best in the 14-year-old Boys Pole Vault. Visser cleared 3.95m (12-11.50) to grab second place. In the high jump, Tia Goulbourne (Rainey Elite Speed) battled to a 10th-place tie in the 15-16-year-old Girls High Jump with a jump of 1.55m (5' 1).
On the Track, Florida distance runners delivered impressive performances in the Boys 3000m finals. The 11-year-old division saw a tight finish between Daniel Lomoriello (Golden Elite Track) and Rowen Urbina (TACOLCY), who went 5th and 6th, respectively. Both boys went sub-11:00 with their PR's, with Lomoriello clocking 10:58.13 and Urbina finishing right behind him in 10:58.62.
In the 12-year-old 3000m race, Brayden Milek (Boca Warriors Track Club) placed 8th overall with a solid time of 10:20.69.

Florida Athletes Shine in Monday's Prelims at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympics
Monday's preliminary rounds in several events at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games saw multiple Florida athletes set PRs and qualify for the next round in the 200m, the 800m, and the 200mH.
200m Prelims
The 200m prelims saw a wave of Florida athletes secure their spots in the next round across almost every age group.
17-18 Women: Arianna Woolcock (FSG) qualified 1st overall with a winning time of 23.95 to claim Heat 10. Malikah Mais (FSG)also advanced, placing 10th overall (24.76).
15-16 Girls: Victoria Pringle (813 Elite Track And Field) moved forward in 13th place (24.88), joined by Madison McCrary (Golden Elite Track) in 23rd (25.34).
12-Year-Olds: In the girls' division, Zenobia Gaines (Daytona Express) grabbed a strong 4th-place spot (26.01), with Nyla Knowles (Lauderhill Cheetahs Track Club) qualifying 10th (26.54). On the boys' side, Daytona Express teammates Gatye Wallace (17th, 25.63) and Majour Etheridge (18th, 25.73 - PB) both advanced.
11-Year-Old Boys: Melvin Pryce Jr. (Tampa Xpress Track Club) secured a 7th-place finish to qualify in 26.16.
10-Year-Olds: Kenneth Crawford Jr (South Dade Express Track Club) locked in the 7th spot on the boys' side (27.95), while Raelynn Ross (VAST Track Club) advanced in 23rd for the girls (28.93).
9-Year-Olds: West Pembroke Pines Optimist Track Club saw dual success with Damian Johnson Jr qualifying 9th (28.63) for the boys and Ayanni Bryant-Lawrence qualifying 10th (29.83) for the girls.
8-Under: Adlee Dukes (MPowered Athletix) ran a PR of 30.73 to qualify 5th for the girls. Tyree Wilson (Daytona Express) also clocked a PR (29.46) to take the 14th spot for the boys.
15-16 Girls: ERI Stars teammates Diya Balamurugan and Gemma Adimora ran tightly contested races, qualifying 7th (2:15.73) and 8th (2:16.41), respectively.
14-Year-Olds: Camila Boucher (Boca Warriors Track Club) moved on with a 6th-place finish in the girls' division (2:21.15). For the boys, Victor Diaz (Velocity Elite Track Club) advanced in 11th (2:05.62).
13-Year-Old Girls: Rubi Colimon (FSG) advanced, finishing 6th overall with a time of 2:20.47.
Hurdles (200mH)
13-Year-Old Boys: Tyler Green (Honest Runners of North Miami) advanced in the 200m hurdles, grabbing the 7th overall spot with a PR of 28.15.
