Week One of the FHSAA regular cross Country season is in the books. It's time to vote for the MileSplit Florida boys cross country performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:
Jaxon Kiper, Strawberry Crest : A 15:54.30 clocking over 5K secured the win by 23.1 seconds among 239 finishers at the 18th Annual Jim Ryun FCA Invitational. The mark stands No. 22 of 8,644 athletes in MileSplit's database at Holloway Park since 2019, and it improved on a prior mark of 16:42.70 on the same course by 48.4 seconds.
Isaiah Renn, Leon HS : A winning time of 17:09.80 for 5K at Dueling Summits was enough to take first out of 170 finishers by a comfortable 20.5 seconds. The mark now sits at No. 12 of 914 athletes in MileSplit's database at Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park since 2019.
Landon Watkins, Sickles HS : First place out of 142 finishers at the Ragin' Storm XC Challenge came with a 5K clocking of 16:03.50, good for a 43.3-second cushion over the rest of the field. That time checks in at No. 14 of 2,177 athletes in MileSplit's database at Mary Help of Christian Academy since 2019, and it improved a previous personal mark of 16:39.20 on this course by 35.7 seconds.
Armando Cruz, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School : At the Cecil Field Summer Classic, a 5K time of 15:06.00 was good enough for first out of 351 finishers, with 10.0 seconds to spare over the runner-up. The performance now ranks No. 8 of 2,437 athletes in MileSplit's database at Cecil Field Golf Course since 2024, topping a prior time of 15:15.00 on this course by 9.0 seconds.
Douglas Seth, Flagler Palm Coast HS : Crossing the line first among 199 finishers at the 15th Annual Spikes & Spurs Classic High School took a 5K time of 15:59.50, with 5.4 seconds separating first from second. It stands as the fastest mark in MileSplit's database at Flagler Palm Coast HS Track since 2024 among 486 athletes, improving on a prior mark of 17:09.80 on this course by 70.3 seconds.
