Back in Florida: John Guarino New FAU Assistant Coach

Many will be happy to hear that John Guarino is back in the state! The former legendary coach at St. Thomas Aquinas is back in South Florida, as assistant coach at FAU.

Guarino coached the track & field team at his alma mater, St. Thomas Aquinas, to six consecutive state titles from 1998-2003. That team was one of the most successful high school programs in the country during his tenure, before he moved on to the college ranks in 2004. He then served as assistant coach and graduate assistant at FSU before moving on to a head coaching job at UCF. Most recently he was coaching at Eastern Michigan University, leading a very successful program in the MAC Conference.

The Georgia Tech alum will serve as assistant coach of the FAU Women's Track & Field team, working primarily with the sprint, hurdles, and jumps.
