Boone senior Marvin Bracy was featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces In The Crowd section for his record setting performance in the 55 meter dash at the Jimmy Carnes Indoor Youth Meet. Bracy exploded out of the blocks to a National Record and US#1 time of 6.08 seconds. That mark was faster than professional sprinter Justin Gatlin ran earlier that week. The sprint superstar is the reigning 4A State Champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash, but has his eyes set on a bigger goal, the Olympic Trials, and 2012 Olympics in London.
