2013 FACA Track & Field Clinic 2013

This year’s FACA Conference, held at the luxurious Daytona Hilton Oceanfront Resort, unfortunately overlooked the silver sands of “The World’s Most Famous Beach” and the broad, blue Atlantic beyond. It was “unfortunate” because the scene laid out in panoramic splendor on one side of a room-length window might have posed a conflict of interest to coaches who earn at least part of their living out of doors; succumb to the siren call of the breakers—a mere whisper of its seductive sound escaping through the salted glass—or stay inside and talk track. For those assembled, it proved to be less of a conflict than one might imagine.

One of the highlights of the three day FACA Track & Field Clinic is the State Championship Coaches Panel. See what they had to say on a variety of subjects. Also, added this year was a Veteran High School Coaches Panel featuring some of the sport's best minds. We were able to attend that and get some clips for your viewing pleasure as well.

The 2013 FACA Track & Field Clinic kicks off Thursday at the Hilton - Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. The event runs through Saturday morning and features some great learning sessions, guest speakers, Hall of Fame inductions, and the always popular state championship coaches panel. We caught up with FACA Track and Field Chairman and Flagler Palm Coast coach Dave Haliday to preview the week's events.

The FACA Track Chair, David Haliday, has a great weekend in store for coaches around the state. Starting Thursday and running through Saturday will be another great three days of fun, networking, and learning.
