Note we will have highlights of each race and with ten cameras positioned around the course David Armstrong of RunFlix will be giving the runner's an option to purchase their own custom highlights video.

The Florida Horse Park Invitational will consist of a High School, Middle School. The high school 5k will have a Varsity and JV race. Varsity races are allowed to run 10 athletes and JV unlimited entries. The middle school will have a boys and girls 3k race and will be a qualifier for the middle school state meet. If we get over 60 schools registered for the high school races we will add a 2nd varsity race. There will be no assigned starting boxes; it will be first come first serve. The varsity races will be cut off at 30 minutes. If your athlete gets caught by the following race they will not be in the results. This event will be sanctioned for FL & GA if needed.

Online Entry
Registration will be on www.flrunners.com. To be able to register your team, you must pay for your team first in order to get the password to open up the registration. Payments can be made by check. Mail check to Vanguard High School Att: Coach Travieso 7 NW 28th Street Ocala, Fl 34475. Registration will end Tuesday, September 9th at midnight. High School & Middle School coaches please enter your entire roster, not just your Varsity runners. Any additions or changes after the entry deadline and on race day is $5 per change, this includes spelling errors as well as additions. Timing
HMT will be using the Ipico/ Finishlynx triad chip timing system. There will be mile marker clocks as well as instant results scrolling on the finish line display board. Chipped timed race results will be posted around the park and at www.halfmiletiming.com. Any protested results must be done before 40 minutes after results have been posted!
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick up will start when the course opens Friday at Noon and end at 7 p.m. It will open again Saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. when the gates open. Coaches please make sure you get your packets 30 minutes before your race to ensure enough time to get the timing chips signed out and onto your runners shoes. Coaches will be in charge of returning the timing chips back where they picked their packets up.

Course
Welcome to your p.r. course. This course is fast with long straights, small rolling hills and packed grass. This course will be a great start to your season to boost the confidence of your new and experienced runners. The mile and 2 mile is located within walking distance of the start and finish giving spectators maximum viewing spots to watch their athlete.
Event Shirts
Event shirts will be on sale for $12.00 pre- sale till September 1st. Day of the event will be $15.00 cash in limited quantity at the event .To be guaranteed a t-shirt you can pre order by e-mailing james.travieso@marion.k12.fl.us Youth sizes will be pre sale only! We will need team name, quantity & shirt sizes.
Order must be sent and paid for by Monday September 1st. No exceptions!!!
Parking
There will be a $5.00 per vehicle charge for spectator parking. Team buses and team vans are free, if a parent has an athlete in the car they still have to pay $5. Coaches please make sure your parents are aware of this!
