Note that these instructions are on the US Portal and you will have to return to your state site to actually find your team and enter the meet.

Registration:

All Registration will be done through fl.milesplit.com. Registration will CLOSE Monday, April 7th at 8:00PM. All athletes participating in the District Meet must be entered by this time No additions will be accepted after registration closes. All SCRATCHES must be submitted by NOON on Wednesday, April 9th to Erik Lipham at liphaeri@berkeleyprep.org. After the Wednesday deadline, all athletes entered into an event must compete in that event (or at least start). Any athlete that does not participate in an event in which he/she is entered, will be scratched from all remaining events, including relays.

Advancement Rules:

The first four contestants in each individual event and the first four teams in each relay event will advance to the Regional Meet (Wednesday, April 16th at Berkeley Prep). All Ties will be broken for advancing.

Field Events (Horizontal Jumps and Throws):
The best nine(9) distances in each preliminary event (first 3 throws and jumps) will move on to finals for an additional 3 throws or jumps. According to what appears to be a rule change for the state series (Rule 4.14.2.3.2 c1), One more competitor than there are scoring places shall qualify for the finals. Ties for the final place shall also advance to finals. The finals shall be competed in one flight. Best mark from all six(6) distances will be scored. All legal marks will be measured.

Preliminary Events:
The winner of each heat plus the next fastest times, up to eight(8) athletes per event, will move on to finals.
Non-Preliminary Events:
All heats against time, the fastest four(4) athletes will advance to the Regional Meet

Awards:

The District Champion and Runner-up will receive trophies at the conclusion of the event. The top eight(8) athletes / relay teams in each event will receive ribbons. In an attempt to reward athletic accomplishment, we will present the top eight(8) athletes on an award stand in the field on the front straight-away following each event. The field event awards will be distributed during the 20 minute break in the middle of the Prelims. Please notify your field event athletes that placed in the top eight(8) to report to the infield during the Preliminary competition to receive their awards.

If 8 or fewer competitors are entered, then the race will be run as a final during the finals competition. Advancement is the winner of each heat and the next fastest times.

Jury of Appeals:
Jesuit, Bayshore, Academy, Anclote, Berkeley Prep, Tampa Catholic. In other words, every team is a part of the Jury. The team that submits the appeal will recuse themselves from the Jury for that specific appeal.

Concessions and Hospitality:
The concessions stand will be open throughout the day. There will be coachs hospitality food available with location to be announced at the coachs meeting.

Parking on campus will be the same as in previous meets we have held here at Berkeley: buses are to park on the dirt lot next to the theater, and visitors can park there also.

Cost is $6.00 (FHSAA)

Team tents are to be set up behind the home bleachers on the field.
