The Mountain View boys enjoyed a worry free weekend down in Florida in the week leading up to the big clashes among NTN ranked teams at the Maymont Festival as they cruised to a second straight team title at the Embry-Riddle Smoothie King Invitational held in Daytona Beach. In a low-key event with little competition to test the NTN Southeast #4 ranked squad, the Mountain View boys tallied 17 points to better their 2006 team score of 36 points as they were led by race winner Thomas Porter (pictured right by Kelly Walker for flrunners.com) in a time of 17:16. Coach Dave Davis' squad took seven of the top ten places in an impressive team dispaly. Meet summary on flrunners.comĀ
