THIS MEET IS ONLY FOR SCHOOLS IN POLK COUNTY

This event will take place on March 18th, 2017. We are looking forward to hosting this event and we are looking forward to great competition. All teams will be limited to 4 individuals per event, and one relay team per event. We have a brand new synthetic track with great facilities! There will be a full concession stand for convenience. All venues are located in or right next to the track facility.

Awards will be given to the top 3 athletes and a traveling trophy will be given to the championship teams. Depending on the time we will seed up to the top 24 girls and boys on the in the 1600m to run in the finals and all other competitors will run in a slower heat of the 1600m. Depending on the time we will also seed up to the top 30 girls and boys in the 3200 to run in the finals, all others will run in a slower heat of the 3200. The 800 will be seeded through 36 athletes the rest will run in a slower heated 800. You may not run extra athletes in these races.

Entries: Due by 11:59pm, Wednesday, March 15th.

Admission: $5.00 adults 5 and under free
Concessions will be available.

Note:
1. All FHSAA rules will be in effect. We will have a certified FHSAA Official on hand.
2. All athletes are to sit on the visitors side. The home side will be kept open for spectators. No athletes will be allowed on the field unless they are participating in an event. Athletes not in compliance will be disqualified. This includes coaches. Head Coaches make sure any assistant coaches you have understand this. Athletes will report ready to compete. This will be strictly enforced! Warm-ups are to take place behind the visitor stands.

3. The track surface is rubber. 1/4 Pyramid Spikes Only.

4. I will have people already lined up to run the field events so coaches will not be needed to help.

The meet will be scored by the following point system

8:15 am Coaches Meeting in front of the Press Box. This will be a scratch meeting only. Please try to be there by this time. The meet will start at 9:00 a.m.

9:00 am Field Events (Finals only, 4 attempts only, with exception of the HJ and PV. After we have established a 10th place then all others will have their first legal attempt measured and then will have to pass the marker for measurement.
Opening Heights: Girls HJ 4 2; Boys HJ 5 2; Girls PV 6; Boys PV 8
Boys Long Jump will be followed by Boys Triple Jump
Girls Long Jump will be followed by Girls Triple Jump
Boys Discus, Girls to follow
Girls Shot, Boys to follow along with Adaptive Shot finals
Girls High Jump, Boys to follow
Girls Pole Vault, Boys to follow

All running events are girls followed by boys

9:00 AM Slower heats of the 800 (athletes not in the top 36 seeds) followed by the slower heat of the 3200 (athletes not in the top 30 seeds) These are for the athletes whos marks did not make the top entries. - These races will be officially timed. YOU MAY NOT RUN EXTRA PEOPLE IN THESE RACES.

10:00am 4x800 Relay

12:00pm Running Prelims 100/110H, 100m 4x100m relay, 400m, 300H, 200m and 200m adaptive finals. Top 8 times move onto the finals.

3:00pm Finals (or 30 minutes after completion of the prelims)
3:00pm - 100/110H
3:10pm - 100m
3:20pm - Girls slower heat of the 1600 (those not in the top 24)
3:30pm - Girls 1600m (top 24)
3:40pm - Boys slower heat of the 1600 (those not in the top 24)
3:50pm - Boys 1600m (top 24)
4:00 pm - 4x100
4:10pm - 400m
4:20pm - 300H
4:30pm - 800m (top 36) 2 heats each. Slow heat of 20 followed by fast heat of 16. Adaptive 800m final.
4:40pm - 200m
4:50pm 3200m (top30)
5:15pm - 4x400m
