Wiregrass Ranch Middle School Invite 2020

Wesley Chapel, FL

Meet Information

Wiregrass Ranch HS is excited to host a middle school / elementary cross country meet on the WRHS campus.  The meet is a FLYRA Middle School State Meet basic qualifier.  The top 10% of individuals and top 25% of eligible teams will qualify for the FLYRA State Finals.  Additionally, the meet is a qualifier for the Florida Youth XC Championship (see link below).  Please note that the FLYRA State Finals and the Florida Youth XC Championships are two separate events, with different qualifying standards and rules.

The course is an all grass running surface that will provide coaches and spectators multiple views of the athletes during the races.  The MS 3K course is a double loop course with start line, 1 mile, and finish line within approximately 100 meters of each other.  The Elementary school 1 mile is also a double loop course with the start and finish only about 50 meters apart.  The 1/2 mile is close as well.

Race times are:  Girls MS 3K 7:45 AM      Boys MS 3K   8:15            Mixed Elementary 1 Mile  8:40   Awards Follow!

We will have medals for the top finishers in the middle school races (15 deep is the plan now but could change depending on how many entries we have).  We will have ribbons for the top 20 finishers in the elementary school race (20 girls and 20 boys).

Please note Registration closes on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27.  Please do not ask to enter athletes after this date.  Checks will be made payable to Wiregrass Ranch High School.  All proceeds from the event will go directly to our National Honor Society and these students will be volunteering to help make your and your athletes' experience an outstanding one.

Please mail payment to Wiregrass Ranch HS, Attn:  Don Howard, 2909 Mansfield Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL 33543

Finally we will be collecting $5 per car payment for parking/admission to the meet.  We will exempt buses and coaches with athletes but please make sure your parents/spectators know about the charge for parking.  Again, all of this money goes directly to our National Honor Society and will be used to fund local charity events we are involved in.
