Coaches, parents, and athletes

We look forward to hosting you and your teams at the 3A region 1 championship on May 6, 2022 Some additional notes to make the event a success

Team arrival - we ask that you please look at the map you will see that you can drop off athletes and equipment on Wright Parkway then go up to Hollywood Blvd next light) and make a left to what we call our junior parking lot (it is located next to our bus ramp)

Coaches wristbands- you will be able to pick up packets at the Coaches entrance gate (see map) - you will receive 5 wristbands per school if you have 4 or more participants, 3 wristbands if you have 3 athletes or less. We ask that you PLEASE do NOT give coaching wristbands to parents. If you have a coach arriving later - the head coach will be responsible for getting their bands for entry into track and field area.

Coaches with wristbands - will be able to enter the track and field area - through coaches gate, main entrance and athlete/coaches gate on Wright Parkway

COACHES BOXES - will be located throughout the infield - coaches MUST stay in coaches boxes - if you do not adhere we will ask you to leave the infield.

Coaches hospitality tent - will be open from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Athlete wristbands - at the check in clerk athletes will be given a wristband --before they enter the track and field - they must wear wristbands at all time

Athletic trainer will be located near our boys field house

A few housekeeping notes

Restrooms - for athletes there are plenty of restrooms in the football stadium Once in the infield there are 2 sets of port a potties for spectators and athletes We also have athletes/spectators - restrooms - women in the girls field house and men in the boys field house

At the 300 turn there is a restroom - but we are reserving that for coaches, officials, and volunteers - please do not let your athletes use those restrooms

You will be given a garbage bag in your packets - please make sure that you clean up your team areas

There is to be NO FOOD OR DRINKS in the infield of football field

Please have someone at your team areas watching your athletes - they are NOT allowed in any other areas besides team area and track and field - athletes found outside of those areas will have parents called and must be picked up.

The clerking table will be located in the team area gate - after checking in we will escort each event across the street and to staging area

Please be sure that athletes report to the clerking table by second call uniform ready, to check in, get hip number and be escorted to staging area.

After their race, athletes will walk back down chute back to team area. Please let us know if you have para or wheelchair athletes competing so we can be sure to have medals for them

Advancement to the State Finals - Top 2 in each event. Ties resulting in more than two qualifiers must be broken. The next 10 across all regions in each classification in each event will advance to the state meet.

Sportsmanship Statement - All track and field officials are required to enforce the sportsmanship rules for all team members. Acts meant to demean or intimidate opposing contestants, teams, spectators and officials are not in the highest ideals of interscholastic education and will not be tolerated. By entering this meet, you are certifying that all of your student-athletes are properly equipped and uniformed according to NFHS and FHSAA Rules and they will, in good faith, do their best to follow the established rules.
