2nd Annual USF/George M. Steinbrenner Invitational 2011

Meet Information

USF will host a college meet on Friday the 18th of March and our High School meet will be Saturday the 19th. Come join us for one of the top meets in Florida- (USF's incredible track and field facility, Half-mile timing with Scott Peters and company, certified officials and athletic trainers, Team trophies, individual medals and ribbons, and incredible hospitality for all involved).
Two entries per gender per individual event and one entry in each relay.
The Games Committee will consider a third individual entry for your team if he/she is among the elites in that event.

Team entry fees are $75 for girls and $75 for boys.
Individuals are $25 and must be entered online by your High School Coach.

8:00 am Packet Pick up
8:30 am Coaches Meeting and Breakfast
9:00 am Running Events:
*4 x 800 Relays:
*3200 meters: (Runners that did not qualify for the finals)
*800 meters: (Runners that did not qualify for the finals)
*1600 meters: (Runners that did not qualify for the finals)
*1600 Open: (This race is for your athletes that did not get entered in your top two. To register for the 1600 Open look under Divisions Entered - click on Edit Divisions Entered then click on ENTER to add your runners) (unlimited entries)

9:00 am Field Events:
In the horizontal jumps and the throwing events flights will be best to worst. (The 1st flight will have all 3 attempts recorded. The other flights will get 3 attempts with 1st mark guaranteed and then only an additional mark if they break into the top 8).
*Girls and Boys Long Jump: Top seeds jump first: (Two Pits)
*Girls and Boys Pole Vault: Opening Heights 80 and 100 (Two Pits)
*Girls Shot Put: (Boys to follow)
*Boys Discus: (Girls to follow)
*Girls and Boys High Jump:
Opening heights 44 & 54 (Two Pits)
*Girls and Boys Triple Jump:
Will follow the Long Jump (Two Pits)
Noon: Running Prelims:
*100 meters Top 8 times advance to finals
*100/110 Hurdles Top 8 times advance to finals
*200 meters Top 8 times advance to finals
2:00 2:30 pm Running Finals: Rolling schedule:
*100/110 Hurdles (Top 8 times from Prelims)
*100 Meters (Top 8 times from Prelims)
*1600 Meters (Top entries -- others will run in the morning)
*4 x 100 Relay (Slow to Fast heats)
*400 Meters (Slow to Fast heats)
*300 Meters (Slow to Fast heats)
*800 Meters (Two heats Top Entries, Slow to Fast heats)
*200 Meters (Top 8 times from Prelims)
*3200 Meters (Top entries -- others will run in the morning)
*4 x 400 Relay (3 turn stagger) (Slow to Fast heats)

Relay and Individual Awards for each event will be available within 10 minutes after results are finalized. Athletes need to report to the Awards tent to claim their medal/ribbon.
Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Ribbons for 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place.
Team Champion and Team Runner-up Trophies will be presented at the conclusion of the meet.
