Hi Everyone! What a great season this has been thus far. Throughout the regular season we saw many great performances. Districts and regionals have now taken place and many are gearing up for state. Seems like in just the blink of an eye the season was starting. With the state track meet just a week out, the season will soon come to an end. This season I was blessed to stay healthy and travel quite a bit. I've had the opportunity to meet and work with great individuals. I've learned so much within this last year about track and field and especially jumping. This year since there is a week in between regionals and state, I was able to get some extra technique work in.
In the final edition of the polls before preseason marks are removed from the calculations in week four, Oregon’s men overtook the reigning national co-champion Florida Gators as part of a top-10 shakeup while the women’s top 10 was, by comparison, largely unchanged.. (via USTFCCCA)
A plain white top with the number 284 written across his chest. For former Lincoln Park Academy and University of Florida runner Matt Hensley, his fourth Boston Marathon was about more than a race. After running 2:23 several times and a 20th place finish in 2012, Hensley was 24th out of thousands of runners who participated. He clocked a very impresive time of 2:19.51, but he says all that didn't matter.

With a few more weeks of hard work before state, I am prayerful and patient that everything will come together at the right time.

I suppose it is only appropriate that the back-to-back national outdoor champions are slated in the #1 position headed into the collegiate indoor track & field season. Despite two outdoor national crowns, the Seminoles have yet to win a national indoor title. Last season, they finished second to Wisconsin. The indoor preason rankings are not, however, a subjective rankings; to determine the positions they analyze the best returning times from last indoor season. With superstar Walter Dix and a great group of othes returning for the Noles this year indoor and back-to-back-to-back outdoor titles are certainly within reach.Giving the Seminoles company in the top five is the University of Florida. The Gators, no doubt proud of Heisman winner Tim Tebow, should also be proud of their indoor track program--ranked #4. The Gators also have the only women's team preason ranked in the national top 25 indoors. The Lady Gators find themselves in 13th position.Congrats to both teams! GO 'NOLES! (and although I can't bring myself to say it without putting it parenthesis since I bleed garnet and gold--GO GATORS!)
