The senior, one of the most successful female distance runner Chamberlain has ever seen, grew up watching older brother Mark Parrish excel in his running career at both Chamberlain and UF. Mark, a UF grad, holds three UF school records and All-American status in the 3000m steeplechase.

Del Monte is dominating the Tampa cross country scene, but he can hear the footsteps of his teammate Jake Covington, who is pushing him to the limit. The hard-working junior pounded the pavement all summer, hitting 80 mile week regularly.
Chamberlain’s top two runners dominated the field at the Central Hillsborough Invitational on Tuesday. They ran in tandem and didn’t even come close to their best times, but all that mattered was getting the win.
Last year Dentarius Locke transferred to Chamberlain and for him the new colors brought in a breakthrough year. By season's end he was one of the top sprinters in sprint-rich Florida with personal bests of 10.43 and 21.02. His post-season included a championship and runner-up at state, two seconds at Nike Outdoor Nationals, and two age group championships at AAU Junior Olympics. Now as a University of Tennessee signee, Locke is looking forward to a great senior campaign. He has put in the work and has the desire for some lofty goals and expectations. But all indications are this young man is ready to make those dreams a reality.
