About Me

I'll be the first to tell you I'm not very fast. But the race does not always go to the swift. God gave me a body, so I should train it optimally. And God gave me a brain, so I'd better use it too.

I could give you a list of stats and accomplishments, but what would that really tell you about me? Besides, chances are if you are reading this you already know where to look that stuff up. If you really want to know what someone is like...

-Look at one's friends. All of my friends are runners, and they all think that I am the crazy running guy.

-Look at one's parents. My dad is quiet, stoic, and patient almost to a fault. He was the captain of his football team in high school, he translated Russian messages for the US Army during the Cold War, and after that he became a career police officer in charge of department hiring & internal affairs. He married another Buckeye-an intelligent, assertive, spitfire translating Morse code on the Army base. My mom worked full time as a nurse and did most of the child rearing while my dad worked long hours. They have had a long, stable marriage in a time where non-traditional families have become tradition, and they taught me about morality, fiscal responsibility, and perseverance.

-But most of all, look at one's spouse. The person you chose to be with the rest of your life, and the person who also chose you. If you want to know who I am, look at how I treat my wife, and look at what kind of a person she is, for she defines me.

Every day I pray to God to grant me the strength to follow the right path.
