About Me

Presently the Head Girls Outdoor Track coach at Mandarin Middle School in Jacksonville, Florida. As a first year head coach in 2016 the team was the runner-up at the Duval (Jacksonville) City Outdoor Championship. In 2017 the team won their first city title, and repeated that title in 2018, and 2019. Our 4X400 meter relay ran the fastest (middle school) time in the state running 4:09.35. in 2018. From 1986 until 2012 I was the head girls Cross-Country, Indoor, and Outdoor track coach at Jamaica High School in Queens, New York. During my tenure there my teams won over 35 Queens Borough championships, 3 New York City Indoor championships, 1 New York City Outdoor championship, and was the runner-up in 2 Outdoor championships. Prior to me coaching at Jamaica I coached Indoor, and Outdoor track at Maria Regina High School (presently Kellenberg High School) in Uniondale, Long Island from 1981-84. when the school shut down due to declining enrollment. During the last school year the team won the Long Island, and Metropolitan Catholic team championships. At the 1984 Penn Relays Maria Regina was the only US team to make it to the Championship of America finals in the 4X100, 4X400, and 4X800 relays. From 1975 until 1986 I coached a youth boys, and girls track club (Long Island United) which I founded and ran myself.
