Catching Up with Former Bulls: Kerine Black

Former USF track and field standout Kerine Black recently sat down with GoUSFBulls.com's Joel Godett to discuss her time with the Bulls, what she is currently up to, her thoughts on the new Mondo Track surface that was layed down a year ago, in addition to a host of other topics.

Black was a five-time All-American during her time with the Bulls, earning the honor in the triple jump during the 1999 and 2000 indoor seasons as well as the 2000 outdoor season. She was also named All-America in the long jump and the 4x100 meter relay in 2001. Black qualified for the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships a total of 12 times during her illustrious career.

A member of the Conference USA All-Decade Team, Black was named Athlete of the Year during the 1999 indoor season as well as during the 2001 indoor and outdoor seasons. A former C-USA record holder in the triple jump, Black currently holds the outdoor USF record for the triple and long jumps, the 100 and 200 meters, as well as the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams, as well as the long and triple jumps and the 60 meters in indoor records.
