Watch the Bulls on Rewind
Flotrack.org was there last weekend at the Minnesota Invite to film the different running events from above the action, including wins by USF athletes in the 200 meters and the 60 hurdles on both the men's and women's sides. A few of the video highlights include Hepburn winning her 60 hurdles heat, senior Greg Fontus winning his 200 heat (there were no finals in the 200), freshman Dariel Jackson winning her 200 heat, and sophomore David Aristil winning his 60 hurdles final.

Gearing for BIG EAST
USF added several more qualifying performances at last weekend's Minnesota Invitational, as the men now own 19 qualifying marks for the BIG EAST Indoor Championships while the women currently possess 15.

Freshman Dariel Jackson (200 meters), sophomore Shaniel Chambers (800) and junior Dana Webb (pole vault) all punched their tickets to the conference meet at Minnesota, while freshman Neamen Wise (60 meters) and senior Michael Kursteiner (high jump) did the same for the men. The women will get two more chances to post BIG EAST performances, including this weekend, while the men will get one more meet.

Three other USF athletes rank in the top 5 in conference standings among the field events, including senior Samantha Shade, who ranks third in the triple jump with a leap of 38-7.75. Freshman Monique Williams has competed in just one meet during her brief career but holds the fifth-best mark on the season in the triple jump with a 37-11.5. Also showing up on the top 5 list is sophomore Lauren Noe, who currently sits in fourth in the weight throw in 57-10.5.

USF's only other top 5 holder so far this season in the conference belongs to senior Yvana Hepburn, whose 8.54 in the 60 hurdles has her currently in fourth.

Last Time Out For the Bulls

The Bulls took home both hurdles titles and had the top performances in the men's and women's 200 meters at the Minnesota Invitational Jan. 22-23 at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.

Sophomore David Aristil won the 60 hurdles in 8.06 seconds, only .02 second off his time from the week before, while Hepburn won in 8.54. Jackson won the 200 by running a 25.49, while Fontus posted a time of 22.01 to win the 200 on the men's side. Fontus also ran a 6.88 in the 60 meters to take second, albeit first among collegiate athletes.

Chambers ran a 2:16.11 in the 800 meters to qualify for BIG EAST as she finished fourth in Minnesota. Sophomores Lauren Noe and Atasha Warren earned second and fourth place finishes, respectively, in the weight throw with marks of 57-10.5 and 52-6.75, while Warren placed in a tie for first in the shot put with a heave of 46-0. Anderson lept 5-7 in the high jump to put herself into a tie for second.

Wise finished third in the heptathlon with 5,142 points, but he did win the 60 meters, the 60 hurdles and the long jump during competition.
