TAMPA
- The University of South Florida track and field teams will send eight athletes up to the Penn Relays Thursday and Friday for some last-minute preparation for the BIG EAST Championships next week.

Scheduled to compete at the Relays are pole vaulters Stephanie Duffy, Dana Webb and Sean Young, high jumper Michael Kursteiner, hammer thrower Lauren Noe, discus thrower Jared Thomas, javelin thrower Casey Wagner and hurdler Yvana Hepburn.

The nation's oldest continuous outdoor track and field meet, the Penn Relays has more than 22,000 entrants annually and athletes from more than 60 countries will compete during the meet. Click here for the schedule of events for the men along with the heat sheets, and click here for both for the women. As results become available, they will be posted on those pages as well.

Check Back Next Week

GoUSFBulls.com will have an extensive roundup of the outdoor season early next week leading up to the BIG EAST Championships next weekend along with everything you need to know about the individual athletes as they head to the championships.

Last Time Out For the Bulls
USF athletes left and right were posting solid results at the LSU Alumni Gold Meet as well as the Tom Jones Memorial Classic at Florida last weekend. The highlight of the weekend occurred when sophomores Jared Thomas and Casey Wagner each won the title in their respective events, the discus and the javelin, at LSU.

Thomas threw 183-9 in the discus, while Wagner went 151-10 in the javelin to take home top honors. In addition, the Bulls added several more qualifying marks on both the men's and women's side, including three more 400 times all-together. Sophomore David Aristil and freshman Pascal Orelus improved their all-time bests in the 400 and inched closer to school record holder Carlton Mitchell.

Also making a splash was freshman Neamen Wise, who qualified in the 400 hurdles and the long jump, two events the decathlete has excelled in the most over the years, as he continues to get healthy following a hamstring injury earlier in the year.

Head to the Media Center page to find the links to the full recap and the results in PDF format from all of the outdoor meets, as well as the recap and results from every meet during the rest of the season as they happen. Don't forget to keep tabs on the team's progress throughout the year with the Track & Field Records and History Index page, which includes everyone's personal bests - indoor and outdoor - as well as a running tab of the best times and marks for the season and a complete performance list.
