BRANDON, Fla. - Last week, 11 University of South Florida student-athletes traveled to Brandon, Fla., for Camp Care-A-Lot.
Shriners Hospitals for Children hosted Camp Care-A-Lot, a week-long sleepaway for 20 patients ages 8-11. For many kids, it is the first time they have been away from their families. At Camp Care-A-Lot, kids get to experience independence at a camp with kids with similar health challenges.
The Bulls, from five USF teams, participated in activities with the campers, including golf, basketball and arts and crafts.

The camp was held at Rotary's Camp Florida, Inc., an 18-acre campground for children with medical, physical, mental and emotional illnesses and challenges.
The event host, Shriners Hospitals for Children, specialize in pediatric medical care for children at no financial obligation to their families.
