Mac Macoy has verbally commits to the University of Florida. The Vestavia distance runner finished the 2013 XC season with the fastest time in the state.
Macoy on the University of Florida: Florida was a great fit for me. The education is one of the best in the south where I am planning on studying engineering. Coach Spangler has had amazing improvements across the board with all of the distance runners and I strongly believe in the training program. They were Outdoor National Champs last year as well as 2nd in SEC XC this year. I'm also really excited to train with the Florida State Champ Thomas Howell next year as well. The future is bright for the Gators.
