This meet is a qualifier for the flrunners.com/FLYRA Middle School State Championship.

Additional Information

The purpose of this meet is to provide an opportunity to record Middle School State qualifying marks for area athletes. Thus, there will be no point scoring, no awards, and NO ENTRY FEE.

It is open to any athlete attending a middle school in Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Franklin, and Jackson Counties. The emphasis is on generating legitimate qualifying marks.

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER IF YOUR ATHLETES LIVE OUTSIDE LEON COUNTY OR ADJACENT COUNTIES. THIS IS A BIG BEND MEET.

SPECIAL FIELD EVENT NOTES: 3 attempts in throws and horizontal jumps (no prelims; all attempts are finals) Opening height in high jump will be 2” below 2012 Middle School State qualifying mark (see www.flrunners.com) Opening height in Pole Vault will be 6” below 2012 Middle School State qualifying mark (see www.flrunners.com) All first legal throws and horizontal jumps will be measured; following attempts must make MS State qualifying mark for measure.
