CHILES CAPITAL CITY TRACK & FIELD CLASSIC

Packet Pickup Packets can be picked up at the track on Friday beginning at 5:30 pm or Saturday at 8:00 am. Also, the track will be available for practice on Friday between the hours of 5:30-7:30.

Facility The track and field facility is an 8-lane track with a polyurethane surface that was completed in January, 2009. The long/triple jump, high jump, and pole vault areas have the same polyurethane surface. The shot put and discus areas are brushed concrete. Pyramid Spikes (1/4) are recommended.

Sanction The meet will be sanctioned for Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Rules The rules for the FHSAA will be followed in all cases.
No athlete can enter more than four (4) events.

Individual Entries: FIVE (5) per Event Sprints/Hurdles/Field Events

Distance Events: UNLIMITED Entries in 16/8/32
800-1600-3200 Meters

Relays: ONE (1) per Relay Event 4x100-4x400-4x800

Coaches Hospitality Complimentary lunch will be provided for coaches as well as officials.

Awards Trophies- will be awarded to the top three (3) teams in both boys and girls divisions.
Plaques- will be awarded to the outstanding field event performer as well as the top track event performer in both divisions.
Medals- will be awarded to the top three (3) athletes in each event.
Medals-will be awarded to the top relay teams in each relay event.
T-Shirts- will be awarded to the top performer in each event.

CONSOLATION TRACK EVENTS WILL BE HELD IN THE MORNING FOR ALL RUNNNING EVENT ATHLETES WHO DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE AFTERNOON CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION. COACHES, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE MEET SCHEDULE AND INFORM YOUR ATHLETES THE TIME THEIR EVENT(S) WILL TAKE PLACE.

UNLIKE PREVIOUS YEARS, THERE WILL BE NO PRELIMINARIES IN ANY OF THE SPRINT, HURDLE OR RELAY EVENTS. IN THE FIELD EVENTS, THE TOP EIGHT (8) COMPETITORS IN THE THROWS AND HORIZONTAL JUMPS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS AND RECEIVE THREE ADDITIONAL ATTEMPTS.
