For the second straight year Holloway Park in Lakeland will be the host of the Seffner Christian Invitational. Last year, the meet saw over sixty teams take part in the action. Saturday's event will be the largest ever with over 70 teams in attendance from Central Florida and the surrounding Tampa area. We preview all the action and take a look at both the girls and boys virtual meet. Haftom Fliegelman hung back in the boy's elite race at the Seffner Christian Invitational and waited to turn it into another gear as he picked up the victory in 16:33.20. Donald Lamb captured this photo of Haftom and the lead group as they headed into the back part of the challenging Holloway Park Course as well as over 1,800 other amazing images from the day.
Coaches can often be heard screaming the line"every point matters" throughout the duration of a cross country race especially when it is a fight for the finish. Tom Connor was on-site at the Seffner Christian Invitational and captured the perfect example of this as well as over ONE THOUSAND action packed photos.
Holloway Park hosted over 75 teams for the 2016 Seffner Christian Academy Invitational. We were on-site and captured over 3,000 photos in addition to all the race videos including the girls elite race which saw seven girls run under 20 minutes on one of the toughest courses in the state. 4A Cross Country Finals state champion Bailey Hertenstein, ranked #1 in our Saucony Flo 50 rankings was the champion with a time of 18:40.70.
